As you’ve seen before, I love easy pie recipes! So this time I made strawberry hand pies, and you won’t believe how many ingredients there are….. 4! Seriously, only 4 ingredients. These are so cute and easy, literally anyone could make them. Let’s get started!
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
Line a cookie sheet in parchment paper
– 2 premade pie crusts (usually 2 come in 1 package!)
– Strawberry jelly (the small bottle will do)
– 1 egg
– Sugar (about 2 tablespoons)
Let the pie crust defrost and roll both out on a floured surface. Use a 2 inch cookie cutter to cut circles out of the pie dough. I got about 5 from each pie dough. Once you have them all cut out, beat the egg in a small bowl.
Put about 1 tablespoon of jelly in the middle of each pie dough circle. Brush the rim of each pie dough circle with the egg. Fold one side of the circle onto the other side making the shape that is in the picture above! Take a fork and press the dough together, making it look crimped (as seen above!).
Place each on the cookie tray; make sure they are about a half inch apart. Take a knife and make small slits in the very top of each hand pie. Brush each one with the egg, and sprinkle the sugar over each one (should take a tablespoon or two).
Place in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown. Let cool. Then eat!
Seriously easy right?!
